Spring break is here, and i was so excited for vacation and for seeing my sister in Germany. However, thid vacation was different ans nothing like i expected it..
The COVID-19 spread very fast, i was afraid that the airports will close and will not get the chance to see my sister but i was lucky that my fight was not canceled.
That day 11/03/2020 i remember the world health organization announced COVID-19 as a pandemic. kept reading news on instagram about lockdowns and quarantines.
The first week was kind of entertaining. We went to coffee shops and laser tag games but it was not the same because we had to wear masks, keep distances…

The second week was more staying homr rnjoying family time and preparing for going home.
Nothing is clear, how will we go home ? How will we afford to stay here ? How did the vacation turn to quarantine ? Moreover, the most important is how i will spend my quarantine ?
The thing that i kept me going is my family and my friends, just as lance Reynaldo said, “True friends stay with you no matter the distances or time that separates you from them.”

All our conversation starts with a good laugh ends up with a deep conversation. We tried to stay active, so we filmed a video about the importance of being active while staying home and use our energy for a good deed.
Besides, i was so happy that my german classes and the work in the association will be online so i would not miss anything. Even though i tried to stay positive but i was missing home, i did not believe in homesickness until i felt it.
The best part was that i got to spend three months with my sister and bring back the old good memories full of tears and warm hugs that i amost thought that i will not let her go again.
